Really nice B&B. Located a short walk from the main downtown area. Which is good, because you don't get a lot of noise when you are trying to sleep. They have an expanded continental breakfast that included a hot selection and bread, juices, coffee, and fresh fruit plate. Plenty to start the day and head on out for a walk around town. They also have pretty much every restaurants menu in a big binder. So you can sit and decide where you want to eat later in the day. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Galisteo, which is located right on the roadside, but it is not a heavily traveled street, and it is one way. So traffic noise was not an issue. And we also had an outdoor patio area with a table so we sat out the one evening and relaxed. The one nitpick that I had, was the bathroom vanity was showing it's age/use clearly. So maybe a paint over with a southwest theme would be a good idea. The inn has a gravel parking lot in back. You drive through a gate, right up the middle between the rooms and office/breakfast area. Our room had a small coffeemaker and some coffees. There is also a very small fridge, enough for some bottled drinks and that is about it. It's all non smoking. There is a restaurant right next door to the inn. A pricey place, but it has gotten good reviews. Definitely would stay again if I were in the Santa Fe area.

Perfect location. Its central and a block from the plaza so no need to drive and worry about parking. Its everything you could want in a bed and breakfast. The quiche in the morning was a perfect breakfast and they have snacks and fresh fruit all day in the kitchen. The price is what you can expect from a B&B in this area. The rooms are perfect, clean and very comfortable. Free water and they stock your firewood for the little fireplace thats just beautiful and romantic. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious, and the service was terrific. I loved the location - we didn't need a car at all! We would definitely go back - just a terrific experience.

This place is central, just a few streets from downtown and shopping, tons of restaurants abound within a few miles. But what sets this place apart is the attention to every detail in the surroundings! The property is not huge, but set up very tranquil, peaceful, beautiful southwest style, artwork, fountains, sculpture. The room amenities are great, the bed was the most comfortable bed of our 7 day trip to NM, the coffee in the room is Terrafazione, a great Italian coffee. There's free bottled water in the room frig, as most of us tend to get very dehydrated at that elevation. Throughout the day until 7 pm, the dining room, main house is open for tea, coffee, snacks, fruit, and is loaded with tons of information about Santa Fe travel and dining. This has to be one of the most beautiful and well kept b&b's ever! Even the rock work and tile work of the patios are done w/ such exquisite workmanship and detail, that it's clear the owners really cared about every detail and it shines through. What a gem!! The owners were on vacation, however, Mark took very good care of all the guests that were there and breakfasts was always a great way to meet other guests and find out about fun things to do. Come to El Farito!

There is a very good reason El Faralito has made it to the Select Registry. As other reviewers have stated, this is easily one of the most excellent B&Bs at which we've ever stayed. Adventurous sorts, we travel the US staying in B&Bs of every variety, each with their own charm (and some without...). If you love the American SW as we do, the adobe architecture of El Faralito will win your heart at first sight. We stayed in the Santa Fe suite -- with a full bath, a king bed, fireplace, a separate sitting room, log beam ceilings, and luxurious, embracing decor, we couldn't have been happier with the choice. The care and attention from the owners and staff was familial at its best -- thanks Walt, Wayne, and Cherie! The breakfasts were fantastic. The museums, restaurants, and shops of downtown are just a short walk away. You will adore this place! We can't wait for our next visit :-)

Love the quiet location and you can walk to everything in town. The hospitality is above and beyond, not mention how wonderful the breakfast is. The room we stayed in is named, Casita Peralta. So perfect, cozy and the kiva fireplace made the room so comfy for the chilly evening and morning. The two full sized beds were like sleeping in a dream wonderland. It was hard to crawl out of it this morning. I highly recommend this B&B and if ever I am back in Santa Fe this is where I will stay.

It's hard to find a better place to enjoy your stay in Santa Fe than El Farolito. Tucked away just off of Paseo de Peralta, El Farolito is easily within walking distance to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Restaurant Martin is literally next door as well. The interiors are well appointed and well thought through. As someone who usually ends up with the sofa bed, I really appreciated the fact that El Farolito put in some very comfortable sleeper sofas - none of that cheap spring mattresses. We stayed in the Santa Fe Suite and while it wasn't spacious, it had everything we needed and we had nothing really to complain about. The radiant heating was an added bonus to ward off the cold Santa Fe winters. My visitors and I looked forward to returning to our room after a full day of running around. My only complaint with the Santa Fe Suite is that because it's connected to the great room, any noise is easily heard. Napping around 5pm can be a challenge when you can hear conversations from next door. They do close the lounge after 7pm though so your late night slumbers will be uninterrupted. Breakfasts were great. While there weren't full plates of hot entrees, there was always one hot entree, hard boiled eggs, amazing fresh fruit platters, toast, and all the other breakfast accouterments you'd expect. The dining room/lounge is very pleasant especially with the warm kiva wood burning fireplace pumping out some serious BTUs. There was a public computer to print boarding passes as well. Overall, we were very happy with El Farolito (minus the noise) and would definitely recommend to other travelers passing through.

I would have to say that this is THE best bed and breakfast experience I have ever had. We stay in lots, by the way... They put us in two different rooms for the two nights we were there. Both were very comfortable and quiet. They aren't really "rooms." They were more like little adobe style cabins, situated around the parking area in the middle, steps away from the main house. They thought of every single last detail! During the day, there's always a plate of homemade cookies, biscotti and different beverages (all delicious). In the morning, we had a plate of fresh fruit (I think I counted 15 different kinds), a hot main dish (eggs with corn beef hash the first day and frittata the next), and assorted breads and coffee cake (mango-strawberry-almond bread, blueberry coffee cake, to name a few), fresh-squeezed O.J., goumet coffee and tea.... I could go on and on about the food! All these little details, situated in a beautiful setting. Tons of gorgeous artwork, lovely tile, sky-lights, etc... Last, but not least--the people who own the place and the employees here are super-friendly and accommodating.

Stayed in Castia Garcia for a few days, it was detached and was impeccably clean with pinyon wood provided for the Kiva fireplace. Breakfast is served from 6:30am to 9:00am and pretty nicely satisfies the need for caffeine and carbs before taking a long morning stroll to find more caffeine. The location of the inn is close to perfect because everything you will want to see in the City is walking distance and you won't have to pay the meter and parallel park. Its a 10 minute walk to the Plaza (restaurants, historic sites, cute shops, etc . . ), 15 minutes to the distant end of the Railyard and there are a lot of small shopping districts full of galleries and stores no more than a 5-10 minute walk away. There are a lot of nice bars a short walk away notably Secreto which is in the Hotel St. Francis, the mixed drinks are excellent. Would stay here again when in town without a doubt.

A quiet and restful inn near the Santa Fe Plaza. The owners are wonderful hosts and show exceptional care in all the details. The art, appointments, breakfast and snacks are very pleasant without being showy or over-the-top. Definitely would stay again.
